Air travel advice for 7th March 2018 - Polling day

Important travel advice from IPC Travel

IMPORTANT ADVICE TO PASSENGERS TRAVELLING FROM FREETOWN ON Wednesday 7th of March 2018 :

Please find attached letter from the Inspector General of Police concerning the vehicle restriction on the 7th of March.

Departing passengers going to the airport on 07MAR will need to carry and present to checkpoints: 1- Original passport 2- Copy of passport 3- 2 copies of tickets

Once passenger has been dropped off, 1 copy of passport + 1 copy of ticket should be handed over to the driver so that he does not face issues when driving back.

We recommend passengers who have access to NEC accreditation pass for their vehicle to apply for it and make use of it, to facilitate the passage at the checkpoint.

In order to ensure a smooth trip and prevent any late arrival to check in, we advise passengers to plan additional time to get to the airport or ferries in order to have enough time to pass the checkpoints.

As the curfew is expected from 7am to 7pm, arriving passengers on SN 241 should not be impacted.
